On February 28, 2013, the Illinois Supreme Court issued an order postponing the effective date of new Rules 99.1, 113, and 114 until May 1, 2013.
The delay will give the Special Committee that drafted the rules time to deceide whether the new rules will be applied to existing cases or whether the new rules will only be applied to newly filed cases.
